A Grammy nominated exponent of the Flute, Shashank stormed into the music world at the age of six in 1984.  He was the youngest musician to have been invited by The Music Academy, Chennai to perform the senior most slot of The Music Academy, (often performed by Legends of Indian Classical Music), at the age of 12  – a record yet to be broken in the history of South Indian Music.Trained by father Subramanyam and vocal maestros R.K. Srikantan and Palghat K.V. Narayanaswami, he is presently considered one of the best Bamboo Flute artists and is hailed so by the Indian and international media alike. The BBC World TV telecast a documentary on Shashank titled “Destination Music”, recently.

Shashank often collaborates with many legendary musicians from India and around the world including Guitarist John McLaughlin, Tabla Maestro Zakir Hussain, Ustad Sultan Khan, Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pt. Ajoy Chakraborthy  to name a few.

His logic-defying virtuosity is the result of a magical innate talent coupled with the best possible training. Shashank has propelled the Bamboo flute into an enviable position by his playing techniques of which “the multi flute transposed fingering technique” and “the dual octave production” have won him world acclaim.

Shashank has enthralled audiences in India, USA, Canada, Macedonia, UK, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, The Middle East, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong and Korea.

Shashank is one of the youngest recipient of the “A Top” ranking in the All India Radio and TV. A recipient of the “Kalaimamani” from the Tamil Nadu Govt, “Kuzhal Arasar” from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management, North Western University, Chicago and the prestigious Grammy Nomination for the year 2009, Shashank has over 60 CDs and several DVDs to his credit. Shashank currently pursues Hindustani music from the legendary vocalist Pt. Jasraj.

Mysore Srikanth is a senior disciple of Vidwan Sri. H.K. Narasimhamurthy of Mysore. He started learning Violin at a very young age and has undergone rigorous training for more than twenty years.Srikanth has been giving performances from his fifteenth year. He has gained rich experience by accompanying Top Artists like R.K.Srikantan, Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna, T.N.Seshagopalan, T.V.Sankaranarayanan, O.S.Thiagarajan, Trichur Ramachandran, Hyderabad Brothers, Yesudas, K.S.Gopalakrishnan, Rudrapatnam Brothers, Bombay Sisters, Sudha Raghunathan & others and received their blessings and appreciation.

He has performed with great Mridangam stalwarts like Palghat Sri Raghu, T.K.Murthy, Guru Karaikkudi Mani, Guruvayur Dorai, Vellore Ramabhadran, Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Tiruvarur Bhaktavatsalam, Srimushnam Rajarao and many others. He is also performing with talented young artists like Abhishek Raghuram, T.V.Ramprasadh, Shashank, Gayathri Girish, Sikkil Gurucharan & others.

Srikanth has been featured in all prestigious Music Sabhas & Organizations throughout the country.

Srikanth, graded artist of AIR & Doordarshan, performs regularly for All India Radio, Doordarshan and other T.V. Channels. He has also performed for National Program of Music of Doordarshan. & All India Radio. He has recorded many commercial CDs & cassettes with many great artists.

He has won a number of prizes, accolades and appreciation from rasikas and critics. He is a recipient of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship of Government of India and has achieved Distinction in the Senior Grade Music Examination.

Srikanth is now regularly performing with many great artists & undergoing intensive training in the intricacies of Violin playing and looking forward for Great achievement in the field of Music.

The much sought after mridangam artiste from India, Patri Satish Kumar was born into a family of musicians. He was initiated into the art of percussion by his mother Padmavathy, a renowned violinist and had his debut at the tender age of 7.A fine performer, composer and with a deep interest to innovate and explore the art form, his specialization is his precise fingering technique and the fine balance of sounds between the treble and base heads of the Mridangam.

Trained by Guru’s Sree Ramachandramurthy, V.A.Swami and V. Narasimhan, Satish Kumar continues to evolve a style of his own that is distinctly his own.

Satish Kumar has been a regular feature in prestigious venues and festivals across India and around the world including BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall – London, The Music Academy – Chennai, Saptak Festival – Ahmedabad, Theater De La Ville – Paris, Villa Cardova – Cardoba – Spain, Rashtrapathi Bhavan – New Delhi, Pablo Festival in France,  Harbor Front Festival – Toronto, Madrid Jazz Festival, to name a few.
